The Random House $10,000 Trivia Challenge

Random House is pleased to announce the release of The Random House $10,000 Trivia Challenge, a puzzle book contest with a $10,000 prize. The book consists of about 55 puzzles of all kinds: If you are familiar with the work of Henry Hook, you already have some idea of how much fun this book is going to be. If not, I can tell you that the book has been brilliantly executed and will be a puzzling experience unlike anything you've ever seen before.

How The Trivia Challenge Works

The solution to each puzzle reveals a trivia question; these trivia questions likewise run the gamut of subject matter. Once you solve all the puzzles and answer all the trivia questions, you must then alphabetize the trivia answers and find a telephone number that is hidden somewhere in the book.

Everyone who calls the phone number by December 31, 1995, and correctly identifies the trivia answers that are alphabetically first, in the middle, and last, qualifies for the tie-breaker rounds.
