About Cryptograms
Cryptograms are fascinating word puzzles that challenge your vocabulary, deductive reasoning, and pattern recognition skills. Each puzzle contains a hidden quote from a famous person, and your job as a cryptogram solver is to decode it by solving the clues.
How Cryptogram Puzzles Work
Step 1
Solve the Clues
Each lettered clue (A, B, C...) has an answer. Fill in the letter boxes below each clue with your answer.
Step 2
Transfer Letters
Each letter box has a number. Transfer your letters to the matching numbered squares in the quote grid.
Step 3
Reveal the Quote
As you fill in letters, a famous quote emerges! The first letters of each answer spell the author's name.
Pro Tip: Look for common word patterns, short words (THE, AND, IS), and letter combinations. The acrostic feature (first letters spelling the author) can help you guess remaining answers!
