How do I play Daily Encoded Trivia?

You are presented with a phrase where most words are abbreviated to their first letter or a number. Your goal is to guess the full original phrase that can be a quote or common saying, sports trivia fact, measurement units fact, or similar religious or political system fact. Type your guess into the input box and submit. You have 6 attempts to solve the puzzle with stats tracking and an interactive Hints system.

What do the colored tiles mean?

After making a guess, tiles will change color to give you feedback. Green tiles indicate a correct letter in the correct position. Yellow tiles indicate a correct letter but in the wrong position. Grey tiles indicate the letter is not in the answer.

If you get stuck, you can click the 'Hint' button. This will reveal the next unrevealed letter in each word of the phrase. However, using a hint counts as one of your 6 allowed guesses.

When is the new puzzle available?

A new Encoded Trivia puzzle is released every day at midnight local time. You can also play previous days' puzzles by using the navigation buttons.
