About This Wordle Helper
Whether you are tackling the classic 5-letter Wordle or a longer variant like Lingle, Dordle, or Quordle, this tool helps you narrow down the possibilities. It supports word lengths from 4 to 9 letters across 7 languages, filtering thousands of words instantly based on your green, yellow, and gray clues.
How to Use This Tool
- Select word length — Choose 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 from the tabs. The grid and word list adapt automatically.
- Choose your language — English uses the official 12,540-word Wordle list for 5-letter mode. Other languages and lengths pull from comprehensive dictionaries.
- Pick your mode — Quick Mode for fast lookups or Grid Mode for a turn-by-turn simulation.
- Enter green letters in their exact positions.
- Type yellow letters that you know are in the word but whose positions are still uncertain.
- Add gray letters to eliminate any letters that have been ruled out.
- Press Find Words to see every remaining possibility, ranked by likelihood.
- Click a word in the results to view crossword clues and definitions (5-letter English).
Strategy Tips for Better Guessing
- Cover the vowels early: Words like ADIEU or AUDIO test four vowels in one shot.
- Maximize information per guess: Avoid repeating letters you have already tested.
- Think about common letter pairs: TH, SH, CH, CK, and NG are frequent in English.
- Longer puzzles are harder: A 7-letter puzzle has exponentially more candidates. Narrow down vowels first.
- Language-specific patterns: German favors SCH- and -UNG endings. French loves -TION and -MENT.
- Watch for double letters: About 20% of Wordle answers contain a repeated letter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this helper handle puzzles longer than 5 letters?
Yes. This tool supports word lengths from 4 to 9 letters. Select your target length from the tabs above the grid. The helper dynamically loads the appropriate word list and resizes the grid to match.
Which languages are supported?
Seven languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. Each uses its own curated dictionary. For 5-letter English, we use the official Wordle guess list of 12,540 words.
How does Quick Mode differ from Grid Mode?
Quick Mode lets you type green, yellow, and gray letters directly into separate fields for a fast lookup. Grid Mode simulates the actual Wordle grid: type a word, color each letter by clicking, then submit each turn. Grid Mode automatically tracks position exclusions and carries confirmed letters forward.
Can I see definitions for the suggested words?
Click any word in the results to open a detail card showing crossword-style clues and definitions (available for 5-letter English words). Words with available clues display a small book indicator.
